Each year, in Australia alone, more than 4 men die every hour from preventable diseases— that makes a total of 41,000 men each year. And as far as we know, mherv is the only project that is actually doing something positive to save lives in this way.

Mherv costs about $20,000 more to run per year than current sponsorship arrangements cover. Only the nurse receives any compensation for their time. The other costs are all related to equipment, consumables, and vehicle costs.
